Fierr

Replaces the error page

FierrFierr replaces the default error page with a useful, visually appealing page.

This extension adds three buttons: Back, Reload, and Search. The background image of the error page is a high quality 500x500 logo matching the product. If the error can be fixed by reloading, the page will automatically reload in ten seconds, with a button to stop the reload. The Working Offline error page includes a Go Online button for quick access to online browsing. Fierr is free for use in Firefox, Fennec, and SeaMonkey.

To be honest, Fierr is a excellent app which help me a lot, thx a lot. But it would be a lot better if there are option for us to set our own background images. =]

Hello,

I really love this extension, because I'm using JDownloader which reconnects my Router to get a new ip. With your extension I do not need to reload manually.
But I'm missing an option to change the background picture. Maybe you can add this to the next version.

Regards

Thommy

Could you add a button to Coralize the url? That is, make it route through the Coral cdn by appending .nyud.net to the domain? That would be great, thanks.

Would you make it possible to set whether the reloading starts automatically or not?

I'd like it better if Fierr would try to reload the page every second and then stop trying to reload after 10 seconds. Currently it reloads the page 1 time in 10 seconds, which I don't find a very useful behaviour.

Idea is for creating a new addon covering these effects.

My suggestion is to combine fierr with http://userstyles.org/styles/6710 & http://userstyles.org/styles/6488 will create a much better interface & overall effect.

Maybe its true what are you saying, but you should still participate in this project, cause you have experience on creating this errors with clean interface and nice Firefox logo ;)

I highly doubt this extension would fit Mozilla's standards. I had to use some nasty hacks to get around the no-chrome error pages, particularly for the Go Online button. I appreciate your enthusiasm for this extension, but it will never become integrated into Firefox by default.

How about consider joining to the Mozilla Project
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Projects/Network_Error_Pages

Will be very nice when your addon will be by default integrated in Mozilla Firefox

Wow... Heh. Guess I'll have to let buttons expand to fit their content. It should be better next version!

Could you make bigger buttons and boarder frame too, because in Polish language they are yoo small, see http://i38.tinypic.com/qzq44i.png

and look by the way on other languages ;p

That's sort of impossible. The error page isn't allowed to access any external sources as a security measure, so loading the background dynamically is an impossibility. I might be able to modify it with some external javascript, but we'll see...
