Diablo No-CD Loader

Play Diablo without the CD

Diablo No-CD Loader allows you to play classic Diablo without the CD.

Simply copy DRTLNoCD.exe from the ZIP file to your Diablo folder, insert your Diablo CD, and run DRTLNoCD. The loader will prompt you to select the right drive and then begin copying over the necessary file to your Diablo folder. Note that the file copied over is 493 MB, so you'll need some hard drive space. When the copy is complete, the game will start automatically.
Once this initial step has been run, you can simply run DRTLNoCD to play Diablo without a CD. You may wish to change shortcuts to Diablo to DRTLNoCD.exe instead of Diablo.exe for convenience.
Users with UPnP capable routers will get the added bonus of automatic TCP/UDP Port 6112-6119 forwarding, to fix latency issues while hosting games over Battle.net.

Additionally, it seemed to create a new Storm.cd after renaming the old one.

It also seemed to create two Diablo.exe *32 processes instead of just one.

I'm thinking this might be related to another problem I started having around the same time where other blizz games would only start on the second try (or wait a while before starting on the first try).

Sorry, rename Storm.cd to Storm.dll, slight typo.

Please try the following:
1) Locate the file storm.cd if it exists. If so, delete Storm.dll and rename Storm.dll to Storm.cd. If Storm.NoCD exists, delete it.
2) Ensure DRTLNoCD is not running.
3) Run DRTLNoCD as administrator.

Hey I've been having problems with this program recently (windows 7 64x). It was working fine up until recently. Now when I try to run the program, it often takes a while to start and then it says "unable to identify application version" when entering battle.net. When I exit the DRTLNoCD process is still active. Any way to fix this?
